Roof Removal
I removed all the poorly mixed bondo and globs of resin around the cowl and roof of the car. Once again, I say "What a mess."
The roof came off in 12 pieces, all of the cuts having been made by the previous owners. Counting the cowl, the roof and windshield surround, it is in 13 pieces.
The cowl was sliced and reattached at some point in the past.
The roof structure was held together by this 60 pound steel framework. The framework, however, was -not- attached to any structural frame part, just bolted to the thin fiberglass roof.
I pried this small hunk (10 pounds) of solid resin out of what was left of the passenger side foot well.
