Dave now works for the "government", specializing in microscopic, all manual, free-form peices (he's an artist). This pic shows something a little bigger, I don't know exactly what is being made here, as he says, "I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you..."
Below is a Holley 1946 carb adapter he made in "about fifteen minutes". Made from a plan drawn on a post-it note. It allows the use of a larger, modern carb with an electric choke on the old, smaller venturi, head. Machined out of a piece of scrap, it was milled flat, taper bored, drilled, tapped, and countersunk, with a tapped manifold vacuum take-off on the side.
